Some positive tips to help you with your career.
1. Create a board of advisors for counsel, feed back on on your career progress and build relationships that will lead to introductions to new contacts or ideas. These should be people you admire, possibly not your best friend.
2. Spread the word and get some help to promote your career. Third party validation is huge!
3. Try something new to enhance at least two of your skills. Ask your boss how to go about making changes focusing on the things that will benefit the boss and the company.
4. Take stock of what you have accomplished and learned over the past several years. Use this as a gauge your current skills and what makes you an asset to your company. Your resume should present these talents as well as the job titles you have held. We all have had jobs with the caveat of ETC.
